The NFL on Monday announced the return of Madden 22 coins the Madden NFL 22 x The HBCU Tournament and 16 of the finalists will travel on a trip to Los Angeles to compete against one another for the duration of Super Bowl LVI week.
Participants from the students from all 48 Historically Black Colleges and Universities SWAC, MEAC, SIAC and CIAA conferences are able to register until December. 3 and be eligible for the Dec. 5-single-elimination tournament to qualify for the competition.
"We are so happy to be able to revive the Super Bowl to HBCU students, and provide the chance to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Los Angeles during Super Bowl LVI Week," Natara Holloway, the vice president of football policy at the NFL, said in the release. "We are determined to increase the League's efforts to create open opportunities for the next generation of footballers by partnering with companies such as EA giving not only students with the chance to play, but also an opportunity to get a better understanding of the business of football through practice and shadowing experiences."
The 16 finalists will have the chance to visit the NFL's West Coast studios in Los Angeles and take part at an "experienceship" through the experience of spending time with EA workers from different departments.
